Similar sumsung model had better sound and better remote control. I had this TV for a week.why LG supplied cheap remort controller with 4k smart TV. You have to use up/down/Left/right button to move the mouse pointer on web browser. I am using the wireless mouse.

Good TV

Had the TV for a week now...and its a pretty fantastic TV to have. If you are looking at an entry 4K then this will be the one to buy. WebOS is pretty good. Its not slow. Has YouTube, can download Spotify, has web function but who wants to really go on the web when you have your phone/tablet/laptop. It also has Netflix. I wanted a smartTV and this has everything I need from it. Colour and definition is crisp. Watched a few TV shows and its pretty good on it. I would agree wth others that you will get some greys since blacks are not as black. Gaming on it with the PS4 gives me no complaints. Its good and don't see as much lag since you would put it to gaming mode. It will update itself to the latest software so like I said its a pretty good purchase IMO. Sound is pretty loud and clear. If you want better sound, go with a sound bar but in an apartment, it's fine for me. Some instances you might need to adjust the sound since it can be lounder/quiet depending on the format (TV show, movie, youTube, game etc.) but its good. In comparison for my shopping, I was choosing between an entry 4K and initially went with a Toshiba for how cheap it was but noticed you needed chromecast so it wasn't a Smart TV...and then I was looking at the Sony bravia line 55'' TV's. Sony has Android TV and with the latest update it will have Google Assistant so you don't need to type but rather speak which is easier when searching on YouTube or Netflix. But I don't mind typing the letters on the LG.

Advertising problem

Today this TV is listed at a new sale price with a new regular price. Amazing how the regular price dropped by three hundred dollars since the early December regular price. Seems more like deceptive advertising to create the illusion of a great sale. Buyer beware of this unethical practice of inflating the regular price and then presenting a big sale price! TV works well.

I had bought this tv on boxing day last year at and after 6 months the panel on it went and lg messed me around until it was to late to fix they want another 1000 to replace the panel. they told me this was a known problem with this lg tv.

I am quite disappointed with my purchase. For starters, the screws that attach the feet to the TV were missing. Contacted Best Buy and they said there was nothing they could do even though I purchased the extended warranty. They told me to contact LG directly. Secondly, the motion blur on this TV is very noticeable. This TV in reality has a 60Hz refresh rate and software is supposed to help reduce the blurring at high speeds and "make it seem" like the TV has 120Hz...what a load of %@#* Advertised as "TruMotion 120". I formerly owned a plasma TV where there was no such thing as motion blur and with this TV, it is just too distracting to enjoy it. I went into Best Buy with a different TV in mind and the Store Employee convinced me on this one telling me there was much more value in this TV and that the motion blur would not be noticeable. I will be returning this TV ASAP. Quite disappointed in the TV and the overall customer experience from Best Buy.

Just buy it

Best value for money. The netflix UHD content feels like so real. It feels like you are looking at a window of a live stage.

Good deal, good price.

Amazing TV just enjoying from the first day when I made this decision to buy it. Good connection with internet and no frozen pictures from YouTube. Picture quality is great.

  • from Courtice, ON

It's okay

The TV itself looks sleek and stylish. The picture quality is amazing on a still image, which is where the problem lies.... coming from a plasma 1080p to this, the motion blur while playing fast moving games is really noticeable. Over all a great picture upgrade just not that great for faster moving objects such as gaming.

No Bluetooth but...

Beautiful television has all the bells and whistles and worth every dollar paid ..I am quite surprised that considering it does have all the extras that there is no Bluetooth ..also audio output jacks would be nice mind you it does have a digital audio output which would be great if my receiver wasn't so old ..maybe time to upgrade that as well ..over all i give this TV a 5 star rating ..the beautiful picture and the Web3.0 makes it worth it and being LG you know its top of the line when it comes to quality and that it s going to give you many years of enjoyment ..I also have a 6 yr old LG 47"LCD, it has been worked hard (on pretty much 24 hrs a day for the last 6 years to view security camera) and it still looks and works as good as the day i bought it

Great upgrade

I upgraded from a 1080p to this TV. Very satisfied after a couple of months. Some key points to remember if you're buying it: - Very nice picture IF the settings are correct. Ensure the software is up-to-date. Especially on content that can utilize the capabilities of the TV. The Revenant and Sicario are two movies that come to mind. They look absolutely stunning. - Need a soundbar/audio system with it. Like most TVs now, the speakers are not very good. Tinny and almost unusable depending upon your configuration. - At this point, 4K/HDR content is mostly irrelevant. The technology has not been perfected yet and is not readily available. But, when taking everything into account, I believe this is by far the best TV in its size and price range. Samsung has its own model, but after researching and checking out both, this LG was the better choice. Its picture quality was superior and was a major factor. Don't be fooled by CNET's reviews. OLED TVs in Canada are way more expensive than in the US. You'll be hard-pressed to find a comparable OLED model anywhere near this price (wait for a sale if you're buying if buying this TV, though.) And while the 4K/HDR factor is mostly cloudy at this point, it will be future-proof for the short-term and certainly good features to have if it becomes mainstream at some point. If you're looking for a TV in this size/price range, this is currently the best of the bunch, imo.

if i could rate this tv any lower i would. i bought this tv 9 months ago and 4 months ago the panel in the tv went and I've been getting excuses and excuses why they can't fix it or don't have a part yet. now the screen is now starting to crack on its own and they are telling me they won't repair it and I'm stuck with it. STAY AWAY FROM LG. after doing some research this is a popular problem with lg and out of all the reviews I've seen with people dealing with customer service lg screwed them all over with the junk they sold them.

Don't see the great reviews

Bought this based on the positive reviews I saw here and had it for a week. It failed to impress even a bit. Colors especially yellows looked very off and overall not bright and poorly lit. Returned it and got the Samsung 55'' 4k, and the difference is night in day. Samsung is the clear cut leader in televisions.

I was happy with this tv but the panels are already toast on the thing I've only had it 6 months

  • from Calgary, AB

Dont get this if u already had 4K

The TV has very poor picture and movement quality. I had a 4K and thought this to be an upgrade because of the HDR. It is truly a starter 4K TV. If your coming from 1080P you may notice an upgrade in picture and quality. The remote is very hard to use and the system and screen itself is slow and not user friendly. Very bad job on this one LG. Disappointed long time customer. I picked up a Samsung instead and very happy with that unit.

Amazing buy

It was on sale and for the price is was very worth it. Not only does this ring a new dimension to your entertainment world but it does an amazing job with clearing up the ? should I stop buying into 3D- The answer is yes. Only gripe is the normal remote, I liked my Dongle... Upgrade into this little beauty ASAP!

Outstanding TV - Highly Recommend

After researching a number of 4K UHD TV's I narrowed it down to the Vizio P-Series and LG 55UH6150. I went with the LG and so far couldn't be happier. The ability to control the excellent webOS interface from Android or Apple devices is rock solid and couldn't be easier to setup and use (the app isn't supported on older devices so you might want to check ahead to ensure your device is compatible). The picture is amazing for the money. Movies from Google Play are as good as Blu-Ray. Netflix looks great for certain titles (e.g. Star Wars, Transformers). And the upscaling for regular TV broadcasts also improves the picture noticeably. The 4K UHD clips on YouTube are stunning and demonstrate what it can do. The audio for the built-in speakers is also high quality. I have a smaller room and haven't decided on whether to get a soundbar. Lastly, PS4 titles look better also. If you're considering 1080p model don't do it! The LG UH6150 is great value for the money.
